GIS Diversity Summit
The GIS Diversity Summit is an event held in the Fall for all students to connect with professionals from underrepresented backgrounds, in a small break-out-room format. This presents an opportunity for attendees to learn about different careers in finance, hear about diverse experiences, and build valuable connections. Students will have a chance to network with professionals across a wide range of different firms.
At the Global Investment Society, we believe it is our responsibility to use our knowledge, resources, and membership to help increase exposure to finance among underrepresented communities. Hearing first-hand experiences from professionals and having the opportunity to ask important questions is an imperative step to furthering this goal.
Pushing Progress
Making Connections
Student participants will have the opportunity to meet with professionals in a break-out-room style format. Each breakout room will be limited to five students which creates the opportunity to form more meaningful relationships. At the conclusion of the event, professionals will have access to a resume book of all student participants.
