GIS Buyside Night
February 25th, 2026. 6:30 - 7:30 PM PST over Zoom.
GIS Buy-Side Night is an exclusive opportunity for members to connect with professionals from leading buy-side firms in an intimate breakout-room format. The event offers attendees the chance to learn about different career paths across asset management, private equity, and alternative investments and hear diverse perspectives from industry leaders. Students will have the opportunity to meet with professionals from top firms such as Blackrock, KKR, and more.

Our Divisions
Investment Research
Investment Research is the premier division of GIS. With 4 teams across asset classes and industries, members create full-length investment pitches to present to the GIS community.
Mentorship Program
The Mentorship Program provides high-achieving sophomores mentors to guide them through the finance recruitment process. Members receive 1-on-1 guidance throughout the recruitment cycle. 
Investment Academy
Members take courses on accounting, financial modeling, investment research, presentation-making, and more as they work towards their final project. Successful graduates are invited to join the Investment Research team.
GIS Explore
The GIS Explore program is an introductory course for students from all backgrounds and experience levels. Students will develop a strong foundation of finance and investing, lectures, guest speakers and more.

GIS Investor Series
Hear from some of the biggest names in finance, exclusively at GIS. Featuring a distinguished panel of speakers who have disrupted and continue to disrupt the industry.
GIS Diversity Summit
A unique networking opportunity for underrepresented students interested in a career in finance. Attendees will have a chance to network with diverse professionals across the spectrum of finance.
Buy Side Night
A selective networking opportunity for students interested in the buy-side. Students will meet with professionals with careers in private equity, venture capital, and investment management.
